Please, please, allow me to educate you people, because the fucking fact-checker for that piece of shit couldn't bother to spend ten seconds on wikipedia.
These are not giant squid in California. They are pretty big squid in California. Giant Squid, or Architeuthis, are up to 13m in length and reek of ammonia. These squids are Humbolts (Dosidicus gigas), which cap out at 2m and are quite tasty, according to people who eat squid.
