I just don't understand the logic of the democratic system. Why the choices of the people should be made by the people is completely idiotic. The assumption that the masses are capable of governing themselves is a mistake that is in desperate need of reform

As much as our country is a democracy.. it's really not. People like to think that they can control the governing of our country but they are all brainwashed by media.. I doubt anything the candidates say will ever happen. I mean, isn't every president's first thing said, "I will make sure our country is safe" when of course they just send ever supply of artillery to a foreign country including our national guard(the only thing that was suppose to protect us if we were invaded while fighting in another country). Thank your for explaining our government to me, before you had left that note I was completely in the dark. I'm so glad you decided to explain to me the very thing I wrote about. If I were in your position, I too would automatically assume that when people choose to make a thought out statement of their opinion on a certain topic that they really needed an explanation of that topic to fully understand.

I can only hope everyone else on the face of this earth are as intelligent as you.
