Bits and Pieces

So the weekend just passed, and it was fairly unremarkable. We didn’t really do much of anything, which suited me down to the ground. Friday night ozbu32  came over and helped restore Papa Bear’s computer. It had decided that it was brand new, and all of his files went missing. There was still some post-ozbu tinkering to do, but we got it all back by Sunday. Ozbu stayed for dinner and I walked him to the train station. I was VERY pissed. I just can’t handle wine anymore. Papa Bear thinks you're lovely, hon. Thanks!

The weekend before that was Riverfire on Saturday night. I’d posted the event under Bear Men of Brisbane on Facebook, and we had a nice little turnout of about 8 of us. It took me ages to get there. Papa Bear dropped me off at the ferry stop at about 4.30pm (the event didn’t start until 7:00pm). The queue for the ferry was pretty bad, and after awhile, I realised that I’d be standing there all night if I tried to get the Citycat. So I caught a cross river ferry and walked to Newfarm from there. It took me ages to figure out where everyone was hiding We were wedged onto a narrow finger of land that hugs the cliffs in Newfarm. We had a perfect view of the Story Bridge. We all got fairly drunk and rolled around. Then we went to Dancing Bears. It took ages for the night to get going, but it finally got busy. I’d peaked too early, so I went home about 12.30pm.

Work has been too busy for words. Ever since I came back from my holiday, it’s been go, go, GO! That’s probably why I spazzed out. I came back from holidays, Blondie was away for two days, then when she was due back, she was sick. Then Blah was sick from a football injury. He missed two days, and then just had another day off last Friday. Now today, Blondie is having another day off. Sheeee-it!!!

I’m getting excited by the approach of Northern Exposure in October. Then in October, I am flying to Sydney to meet up with Aunt Sheila and my cousin, Curt.
