Out of it

I wrote this a week ago, but haven't had time to upload it until now.

Well hell, it’s been too long for me to do the updating thing properly. I’ll try to do a general round up of events.

Papa Bear had another very large, very aggressive melanoma cut out of his chest. He’s had some other spots “fixed”, and is undergoing another course of chemo. He’s in really rough shape from the experience, and is still suffering from his pneumonia. All I can do is grin and bear it.

I myself haven’t been terribly flash. I got a cold that’s impossible to shake. I never get sick, so it is a bit of a shock. I suppose it’s possible that I have pneumonia too. I keep meaning to get to the doctor’s but I just haven’t gotten around to it, yet. I had a bit of an episode at the last Brisbears night. I was in the process of leaving around 1am, when I had this overwhelming feeling that I was going to black out. Mr Vein helped me to a bench, but I still had all of these black dots in my eyes. So I sat on the floor. MrV asked me if I needed a bucket, but I said no… I wasn’t going to chuck. So then I shouted to get the bucket, and had a big spew. After that, I felt fine. Went home…. No worries.

I wasn’t drunk or high on anything, so I can only imagine that it was lingering effects from the cold.

We’re pretty much settled into the new place. There’s still a room that is half filled with boxes, most of them books. I think I’ll have to seriously consider culling a lot of them, especially the things that are readily available from the public libraries. I’ll go on about the house and former house in another post.

I saw I am Legend a couple of weeks ago with Maktaba. Loved it. It was pretty intense, but there were a few annoying plot holes. I won’t spoil it for you though, in case you haven’t seen it. Silly and I are off to see Cloverfield tonight, which has me very excited.

I was supposed to DJ for the Underbear party over the long weekend (night of the collapse), but somehow, The Double Up Bears got advertised for it. Nobody told me any different, so I was pretty pissed at having lugged all of my discs into town, and then only playing for an hour.

(edit) Nope, I was totally wrong. I wasn't supposed to play at all.

Weather: intermittent showers
Health: So so, still a bit chesty, and I’ve put my neck out, so I’ve been awake from 3am.
