I think it's ironic that America as a whole believes itself to be the forerunner of civil rights and liberties. We look at the world from our ivory tower and tell them that their cultural practices, their way of governing isn't humane, or worth anything. Yet as numerous states this November voted yes on initiatives to limit citizens' civil right to choose their legal life partner, South Africa approves same-sex unions. Here.
