Work called to tell me that State is coming on my shift, tomorrow at 9am and pretty much any other time they want to do so. This means I'm going to have to be dealing with fine tooth combs, questions about things for which I'm not ultimately responsible, and people criticizing how I do my job.
The good thing is that after this shift, it's over for awhile and I won't have to dread it again.
Perhaps the thing that bothers me most is that they say it's a random sampling of the clients we serve. Yet somehow, this random hat produces all of the new clients, all of the clients with specific programs, and all of the clients with a very specific financial profile. Look, I don't care that State needs to come and check these specific people out, but don't treat us like idiots and say: Oh, we don't know!! It could be anybody!
Liars. I knew they were coming. I'm just amused they picked a time when one of our residents has had surgery and will more than likely sleep all day. Yes, follow me around and criticize how I watch television.
