Exploding Appliances and Engagement Rings
My hairdryer blew up this morning. Of course it happened when half of my hair was dryed straight. I suppose I've always wanted to do a side by side comparison and today was my chance. Whoopie. Then I pulled my hair up because I looked like...well, stupid.
This took me on a trip to Kmart to pick up another hair dryer. While walking past the jewelry counter, I overheard people buying engagement rings. This might sound unforgiveably bitchy, but if my future husband buys my engagement ring at Kmart, there won't be any engagement to follow it. Anyplace followed by the letters "mart" isn't the place to buy something that signifies your promise of marriage to me. Seriously. That, or eBay. If you can't save up the cash to buy some ice, don't bother. I'll need something valuable to hawk after the divorce.
Randomness:
- One of my favorite paintings is Madame X by John Singer Sargent. I adore the way her hand is turned so uncomfortably.
- I read a small article in Elle about New Orleans and realized how severely I miss that place.
- I want another tattoo, but can't think of a location for it. Suggestions welcome.
- The inside of a refridgerator doesn't look quite right without a chinese take-out box. When I move into my own apartment, I plan to get an empty one and just put it in my fridge, maybe put some baking soda in the bottom of it.
- Dust storms in Walla Walla are amazing.
- Trojan is launching a new line called "Elexa" which will be sold in the feminine hygiene aisle. It will include a disposable virbating penis ring. Thank you Trojan!
