Oh. My. Freaking. God.
That is all I have to say...
Actually, no. Why in the world did I decide to go back to college? Why? Anyone? I mean, I love learning new things and all that stuff; but did I remember the stress of schooling when you have to teach it to yourself? Nope. The one thing that I really hate about this online school stuff is the contradiction their "slogan" makes - "work on your assignments when it is convenient for you, work as slow or as fast as you like". That statement is totally wrong. How is having to have assignments handed in by a certain date or else it wont be accepted "convenient" if someone is working a lot? That's what it's been like in my new accounting course. I started class, then the next day, a big assignment had to be handed in then you start your next chapter, work on that, and hand in your second assignment the day after. Sure, they give you two days, but it's not really two days for me or anyone else who works and has a life (trying to at least). The past month and a bit have been like this, every day: get up, get ready for work, study, go to work, come home from work, study, hang out with Kev after he gets up for about an hour and a bit, go study and get worn out and climb into bed to read by 8:30/9:00 every night. I'm dead asleep by at least 9:30 every night.
Tonight and tomorrow morning for a couple of hours I am going to try and complete my next accounting assignment that has to be handed in on Halloween night and get it done and get ahead in the class so I can sit back and relax for a while and slowly work on my other courses. My other courses wont be so bad as the textbooks are easy to follow and I know those programs really well, but I don't want to get behind. So tonight for a couple of hours and tomorrow morning for a few hours will be school work until I'm satisfied with being ahead and then time for some ME time. Okay, end of school/college/assignment hell/rant. :) Ahh I feel a little better now that I've let that out.
In other news: I'm reading an awesome book - Memoirs of a Geisha. It is so good. I have the movie all ready to be watched on my pvr downstairs after I'm done reading this book. I've been eyeing this book for a while now, but finally took the plunge and started reading it. Gah. Good book. Very good book. Yesterday was Kevin's 26th birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABE! ♥ ♥ ♥ :) Last weekend I took a walk at the college and took some pictures, if I have time I'll get the photos from my mom and resize and upload and post them soon too. No crafts lately either, although I've been itching to get working.
Anyway, just a note to say, yes I am alive and well. I hope to update again soon if school doesn't eventually kill me somehow.
