thisprettyworld: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, butthey must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions in your LJ along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.
"Sick Day" - Optimus Rhyme I actually like these guys better than MC Frontalot. This is a song perfect for bumping in your car when you're driving down any long stretch of highway (the 5, anyone?) and want something upbeat and thumping to listen to.
"The Electric Version" - The New PornographersThis song is in Rock Band and it's a New Pornographers song. Need I say more?
"You! Me! Dancing!" - Los CampesinosI find these guys to be a happy medium between Broken Social Scene and Tilly And The Wall, if that's even remotely possible. They're fun! They make you want to dance! They have awesome accents!
"Tender Umbrella (Rihanna vs. General Public)" - Party Ben This is from the
Bootie Best of 2007 CD. It's a mashup of Rihanna and General Public, obviously, and pretty awesome. I've been slowly getting into mashups and so have some of my friends. (Btw, Bootie is a mashup dance club. I haven't checked it out yet, but I keep meaning to, and if there's one near you, do it!)
"25 Hour Goddamn Telethon" - Bomb The Music Industry!I got into BTMI! because of Reid. I can't stop listening to this CD. God damn Long Island punk (not Reid, but the band.)
"Silver Lining" - Rilo KileyI actually really like Rilo Kiley's new CD. I love how this song really reminds me of Jenny Lewis' work with the Watson Twins, but is definitely still Rilo Kiley. I love her voice.
"You Really Got A Hold On Me" - She and HimZooey Deschanel's voice is haunting and gorgeous. I've been enjoying this album a lot.
