The last few week's events have been fueled by alcohol, ink and video games.
Evan and Elias dropped down to Portland three times in the last month. First for fun, second for business and third for a mix of the two. We drank, swore, cruised and played some Bomberman. I had many ups and a few downs and I can't really think of who else I wanted to experience them with other than those guys. First class friends, for sure. One thing I love about hanging out with them is our conversations often turn to previous outings and nostalgia - but I'm hard pressed to remember a trip with them that I would tag "unremarkable" if it were a blog post. There is always a healthy dose of looking back and creating memories to look back on for next time. Next time being PAX the day after my 21st birthday in August. Can't wait.
Evan and I got the Minion Soldier tattoos together at
Scapegoat Tattoo, a Vegan parlor of tricks. Awesome place that I highly recommend if you enjoy that sort of thing. It's kind of weird knowing that we got the same, some would even say matching, tatto(s) - but since it's Evan it feels more like some stupid inside joke we hold over everyone and not some life-bonding experience. I can totally see us using this as political leverage against each other later in life. Buy a suitcase and prepare to fill it with money!
I almost forgot how much I love getting work done like that. If I had more money there is no doubt I'd be running out of real estate for more iconic video game culture on my body, I'm pretty much hooked. I am going to save for the next project I want done. Hopefully I can get it done soon.
I fixed my bike! It took no less than two unsolicited miracles - a noble average. I can't wait to ride more to distance myself from every other American even further. Liberating!
P.S.:
Bwaahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.
