Антикварная мебель в стиле Ампир
Ампир возник во второй половине 18 века во Франции, как стиль императора Наполеона Бонапарта. И был призван продемонстрировать всю мощь и силу, великолепие, превосходство и роскошь Новой Франции. В результате Ампир впитал в себя черты Неоклассицизма, элементы искусства Римской империи, Древней Греции и Египта. Мебель в стиле Ампир была массивной и монументальной, изготавливалась из ценных пород деревьев, с обязательными включениями геральдических или древних символов. Часто была дополнена художественной резьбой и позолотой, серебром и бронзой. Раскинувшие крылья роскошные лебеди (символизировавшие императрицу Жозефину), львы, поражающие своей хищной грацией, извивающиеся змеи, сфинксы и грифоны - все это стиль Ампир или, как его называли в России, "Бонапарте". Расцвет стиля Ампир занял во Франции всего три первых десятилетия 18 века, но в России его знали и любили вплоть до середины 19-го.
