No. I'm currently being immersed in it through Capoeira class. It's a very interesting language, I must say.

Ahhh... ok. I speak a tiny bit. However, I can sing "Happy Birthday", in it's entirety, in portuguese. Thankyouverymuch :P

It's a beautiful language.

And Capoeira is SO gorgeous. And it seems like a great workout.

I speak some spanish, some portuguese and a little bit of italian. I'd also like to learn Japanese at some point.

It's more than a workout...it's weird how after a while, you just stop thinking and the only thing you worry about is breathing. It's sort of a moving meditation after a while. I do love it although I wish I was faster...but that would come in time.

I wish I could speak Portuguese. It's such a beautiful language...so flowing. Japanese isn't as hard as you think...it's a very soft asian language that makes a lot of sense once you get the sentence structure. ^_^

How long have you been a pastry chef?

I have been a pastry cook for... only 5 months actually. I just finished culinary school 2 months ago. Prior to doing pastry I did pantry. Which is cold salads and appetizers. I'm thinking about sticking with pastry. And before I enrolled in culinary school I was a sociology major and I worked at a senior citizens center. Funny how quickly a person's life can change in a matter of months.

Can you read Japanese Characters? Have you ever been to japan? I plan on going as soon as I can afford it :)

No, I can't read the characters unfortunately. It's a drag, but my best friend is from Osaka, so when she slows down, she plans on teaching me through immersion, which will be fun. I can't wait to go with ehr to Osaka...I know I will fall in love with the place.

You have got to give me some baking tips. I llove to cook and bake on the side.
