Finally I finished some artwork after a long idle art phase! I'm so happy about it because it's the first finished artwork in about six months, I think the result is kind of satisfying considering the fact that I'm used to traditional painting, trying digital painting is a new exiting experience.
I feel bad about not posting any artwork on my LiveJournal, I'm willing to that more often.
Bubble Bath Monster (2008) by yours truly. :)
Making Bubble Bath Monster:
I heard comments about dear monster looking like an eggplant or a large cucumber.
It's drawn traditionally and painted digitally with a regular mouse (the most annoying thing ever!) I can't wait to get a
graphics tablet.
My Brief Art History:
I started drawing since I began walking, in my childhood I mostly did watercolour cartoons, simple comic strips, animals and pretty girls; I had such wild imagination and my drawings where the best in my class. Then I shifted to anime in my teenage years, and at the age of 20 I started drawing realistic pencil portraits and gave oil painting and digital colouring a try. I can't stick to just one style!
Right now my favourite styles are 60s bold-line style and
mid-century advertising illustrations, and recently most of my artwork are unfinished sketches, I have few ideas in mind to finish before school starts.
