There are Killer Mutants in your House

I've watched many movies lately, basically from the lists I've created earlier. So here are the 80s movie reviews I promised (about four weeks ago?), I will add one or two reviews in each post.

St. Elmo's Fire (1985)

I don't know, I didn't like the characters, but I think the movie was fairly good because the atmosphere was fine. In my opinion the only sweet element in the film was the presence of Andrew McCarthy, his incredible cuteness makes any movie delightful and heartlighted; pretty similar to Audrey Hepburn's delight... Wait, Andrew McCarthy and Audrey Hepburn?! That's weird.

Good Points:
• Multiple plots.
• Andrew McCarthy. His role in Pretty in Pink was a lot better though.

Bad Points:
• I think of Judd Nelson as screwed-up Bender; he doesn't fit as a yuppie (Sheedy as well). While watching the movie I had the feeling he'd stand up and say "Son! Yeah Dad! How's your day pal? Great dad how's yours? Super!"
• Kirby's obsession with Dale was exaggerated.
• The movie was below my expectations, not witty.
• What's the use of a brat pack movie not directed/written/produced by John Hughes?!

Weird Science (1985)

Although there were some unsatisfying elements, I thought it was totally funny.

Good Points:
• The title.
• The process of creating Lisa on the computer was hilarious. I loved the old-school computer screen and the music along with it.
• Gary's drunk blues act. Is that really the same Anthony Michael Hall in The Dead Zone?!
• Kelly LeBroke made me so hell envious.
• Nice soundtrack.
• The sense of humor (e.g. the slimy monster and the frozen grandparents).

Bad Points:
• Kind of goofy and cheesy.

Scenes I laughed at:
