When my husband and I first met he told me he has never seen any classic films, so in order to properly introduce him to classic films I made sure we would watch relatively good famous films with high ratings at the beginning (and would be my personal favourite as well). So we watched Sunset Boulevard (1950) and The Invisible Man (1933), he enjoyed them and I'm surely glad! He said he didn't think that classic films would be that fun. I wanted to show him a 30s horror film; one of my favourite genre of films. I think next time we would see an Audrey Hepburn film. My younger sister also enjoys classic films with me (my influence of course); now I have two people to watch classics with. Yay!
I love this film.
The first movie I have ever seen (which happened to be an old one) was Oliver! (1968), I'm glad it was a good one; because if my first classic film was a bad one I would probably not consider coming near that field again unless I was captivated by vintage glamour.
