Book History and Print Culture at U Toronto.
For some reason or another, I keep cycling back to this(1). It was pretty awesome four years ago--see
reason #3 on this somewhat embarrassing list I made--and now it looks even better. The amout of growth within the program is really encouraging for such a new field, and current faculty members not only include Nathalie Zemon Davis but also Adam Cohen, who wrote on the role of women in medieval book culture, and Josiah Blackmoor, the co-editor of Queer Iberia. I still don't know where I'd go with this--art? academia? museums? publishing? fuck all?--but it's good to know that no matter what aspect of book history I wish to dabble in the program allows some degree of flexibility. Thankfully, my MassArt Letterpress course starts in two weeks; not only will it help curb my appetite but I'm hoping that it will give me a better sense of where I'm going with all of this.
