Today!

Today was probably the best day I've had in a longgg time.

It started out with Design class, during which I got to better know Billie and Mia. We spent the period working on hues and colours and all that, for our colour wheel project. So although tedious, we talked and had music and it was fun. I invited the two of them out for sushi downtown, and they both agreed to go, although later Mia changed her mind; she had work to go to within the hour. We originally planned on dropping in on her at the Banana Republic, but that plan fell through.

So we hung around campus for a bit whilst Billie got a toque back to a guy, and I met her friends from Lord Byng as well. I got half a smoke off one of them which is bad because it was the second I've smoked since planning to quit, but good considering the stress I was under at the time. I suppose I should be stronger when things like that come up, but I've been pretty solid about quitting and despite what some people say about my weak moments I'm very proud of how I've managed thus far.

We finally got off campus and headed to the bus, taking the wrong one, actually. We got off that and while we waited for the nest bus we spent like, and hour in the Dollar Giant. We picked up some great Hallowe'en costumes which we planned on wearing downtown, but did not as the heat and weight of our backpacks got to us. Alas, they will have to wait until Monday, when we plan to wear them to Drawing class.

So finally we got on a bus and finished our ride (after a decent talk about music; she likes a lot of the stuff I listen to, and then some technotronic, like Freezepop, don't know if any of you guys know them...I told her about Alice in Videoland and she seems excited) at Science World or Telus World of Science or whatever you crazy kids are calling it nowadays. We went up to the Skytrain, but as we were just about up the stairs, some guy shouted out to me that I looked like a friend of his, and all his crazy sexy lady friends agreed. Incedently, this was actually a friend of Billie's, though at the time neither of them noticed each other! Then they noticed each other, and they invited us to The Herb College (for those of you who don't know, this is a place where one can buy hashish.) to smoke up.

So after a little discussion with Billie, we decided to tag along, and it was all good fun but a little boring. We went in the shop but didn't really do anything, and didn't wind up smoking pot; neither of us were in the mood. So we left (Me with their book, accidentally!) to go to Dress Sew. I had never been there and she decide to show me it, as I'd heard about it from many people.

We went in there and shopped for funky hats and wigs, but didn't wind up buying anything. Another hour well spent, nonetheless! After, we made our way downtown (a surprisingly LONG journey, we went the wrong way twice and asked for directions 3 times, and got on one bus only to get kicked off a block up!) Eventually we found ourselves outside Golden age. I remembered that I had to pick up a Johnny the Homicidal Maniac poster from there, so I ducked in, and then noticed that they finally had the FLCL manga series in stock! So I bought away =D.

We then made our way down to the Rock Shop, where I checked once again for that Blood Brothers shirt that I desire OH SO MUCH, but alas, they were still out of Mediums. So we went for food at the Templeton instead. I don't know how many of you have BEEN to the Templeton, but it is amazing, stocked with Jones Soda, the BEST mashed potatoes in existence, and a super-awesome jukebox! Plus, free gum! Yayyy!

After eating (and tipping many a spare change) we left for HMV, with me first picking up a new ring. Inside we found cd's that we wanted, but lacked the fundings for, and other sexy stuffs! Also, I ordered the Dept of Energy cd, so I'll finally actually OWN it. Then we headed out once more, to Waves coffee across the street. There we sat and rested our legs and backs for a bit, discussing important issues such as the ability to snap one's fingers. Then we went back OVER to HMV, so Billie could catch the bus home-she forgot about her Tennis lesson and got in big shit with her madre. We got distracted by this AMAZING band performing, however. The had a guy on keyboard singing and mixing up classic songs, a girl tap dancing as percussion also singing, and another guy laying out backup backup vocals with various noises and words. They did a really cool version of "My Generation" by The Who! I got their info and gave them 20 dollars, they were that good!

So then we went off to ACTUALLY get Billie home, but decided we would have one last stop at Chapters to see if Arielle was in and also to get a magazine. We first ran into the guy who does the spray paintings outside the Art Gallery though, and I bought a second piece of his, it has a pyramid overlapping a giant black moon. I love it. THEN we finally got to Chapters, and browsed through stuff there (Arielle wasn't in).

Finally Billie buggered off and I was alone, so I decided to head home. I caught the Skytrain to the Seabus station and ran into Rosie and Melissa, which was both nice and a little awkward. I hadn't seen Melissa in a very long time, so her and I talked, but it appeared Rosie didn't want me around so I asked if I could come with them and Rosie said no. Melissa talked to her for a minute and Rosie then said I could come, but by that point I sorta understood that Melissa wanted us to be friends again and was trying to convince her to let me come so that we could mend things a little. As much as I would love to, I could still see that Rosie didn't want me to, so we talked a little longer before I headed out. It was revealed that Rosie had seen me smoking with someone at Langara and she said something nasty about her never expecting me to actually quit, and that's when I left.

Winding up at Waterfront, I got a sandwich and on my way to the Seabus ran into Beth and someone whose name currently eludes me, even though I know him really well. So we had a fun time chatting! That cheered me up a bit after the thing with Rosie and that was good =). By the time we got on the bus to Cap College (they were heading to Beth's, and take the exact buses I do to get there), we were having a very good time talking about their future Lesbian House and other happy things. I ran into (meaning actually MET) Mike Allen on the bus, and we had probably the most entertaining bus ride I've ever had dramatizing a completely ridiculous and insane situation on the bus, including strangers in it. We decided that EVERYONE on the bus knew Stephanie Hogan, except for this one girl, and as such we refused to talk to her. I later got yelled at by Beth for ignoring her as "DUDE, SHE WAS HOT!". I really like Mike, dunno why! We get along well.

Finally made it home and saw my Aunt Laura who's staying at our place, all the way from London. That was basically my day. I'm very tired now, but it was great. *grin*.
