It has been a great couple of days. I went to two outstanding parties this weekend and got trashed at both. I was surprised to see Amy again (to be in her house) and it made me happy that things were not TOO weird. There is something about that girl...
On Sunday, I spent the entire day, after the Club shut down, in isolation, which was refreshing. I walked straight upstairs, shut my door and enjoyed the company of my thoughts. The pink reflection off of the snow-covered Earth lit my room just enough so that I could lay there and let my mind wonder as the frozen rain rhythmically struck my roof. From time to time I would pick up my guitar and finally allow my creative juices to flow. Recently, I have felt so restricted by what is being fed to us by pop media. Strumming those strings probably sounded beautiful only to me, but it was the best for of meditation that I have experienced in God-knows-how long. And I got some work done. I am finally caught up on school. Now I just have to keep pace...
There are few exercises, for the mind and the heart, that are better than walking through the snow.
I found a new hobby: making hemp jewelry. God, I am turning into a hippie. No comments, please.
