Some Dark Humor and Satire

Nov 30, 2010 19:00

It's 16 days and counting until "Jack Daniels and Ice Cream Scoop" day to make the cancer go away.  To lighten my mood, I decided to be silly...and with all the talk about government health-care initiatives; I figured I'd make fun of it.  As I actually *have* government health-care, I figure I'm allowed to do so with a fair amount of impunity.

So, I present to you for your viewing enjoyment;

The U.S. Government's Unofficial, Do-It-Yourself Home Prostetectomy Kit*
                                                                               (patent pending, illegal in Rhode Island)

As you open your kit you will see the following, you can lay out its contents:

(1) Mis-edited copy of Grey's Anatomy, missing the pictures, (1) Anesthesia Delivery System (It was supposed to be a full bottle of Jack Daniels, but as Congress hasn't passed a full budget yet, it was only a half-empty bottle of Jamaican Rum), (1) Razor Knife, (1) Staple Gun, (1) Face mask, suitable for surgery or insulating your attic, (1) sewing kit with red thread, (1) Fence tool, (1) Stethescope (previously used for equine care, but hey...a heart beat is a heart beat...), and (1) length of aquariuim hose suitable for use as a catheter

And thus the operation begins:

Consulting the Instructions                                                                                    Administering the Anesthesia

Okay...why am I cutting *and* stapling at the same time???                              Additional anethesia needed..........

I'm supposed to insert the catheter.....WHERE?!?!?!?!?!                                                        Follow up radiation thereapy
.....oh HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thus dear reader, I am reminded why I was a liberal arts major in school.

I hope you laughed....I had a good time doing this.  Production thanks to my son, who wielded his cell-phone camera with amusement as his Dad acted the fool.

Carry on.

silly, cancer combat
