Just in case you don't get my twisted story. *smiles*
Haddock started to drink when he was nineteen, and his mind took him to Tintin (he worked in Muriel, thus Tintin saw him). Years before, Tintin was killed by his drunken stepfather, Monsieur Phillip Cocteau, and the waiter (Simon-the name was taken from Lord of the Flies, because him and fainting are inseparable *smirks*) helped to throw away the body. Snowy was there, howling sadly.
Tintin and Haddock became friends through the adventures and talks, and (ironically) Haddock could only see him when he’s drunk, which made Tintin Haddock’s imagination. Meanwhile, Simon was haunted by Tintin’s ghost, who was actually there to keep him from drinking. And after years of non-Tintin’s appearance, Cocteau killed himself in jail, and its news was found by Simon, who was reminded again.
Tintin and Haddock fell in love (I’m really sorry for not really pointing that part out, if I have more time I’ll fix this), and they had their first kiss in Sirius (although Haddock was a bit drunk). They became lovers in the next ‘adventures’. It went like that until Haddock discovered opium in Karaboudjan. Not knowing how to deal with it, and feeling betrayed and failed to control the ship, he drowned himself in Loch Lomond and Tintin couldn’t stand that, so he decided to kill Haddock. Allan threw his body overboard.
Tintin killed Simon because he realised that he started to enjoy those drinks, and Tintin didn’t want him to end up like his stepfather. Years after his death, and more sailing to go, Muriel (Simon’s ship) found Haddock’s body floating nearby. Tintin, a ghost who would haunt the ship (and drinking people) forever, cherished the body and was patronized by a drinking man, who apparently would be Tintin’s next ‘victim’.
