Mature Content (on dA). A bit modernized, both of us personally don’t know if speakers, microphones, and shining flowers had already found at Tintin’s era. We can assume that Calculus did.
Seer has written this for anonymous on
tintin_kinkmeme. Actually I don’t want to write this, but Seer kept nagging me from this morning, so there, I’m her helper right now. Since she was still busy, I am the one who post this. I wrote the small song, it’s not good but it’s my best. I hope you like it, anon!
THE WEDDING CEREMONY! AND IS THAT THE BLUE LOTUS?
ARETHAHELENA and SEER M. ANNO
Ding, dong, ding, dong
The wedding bells has rang
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Today someone kisses his heart out with someone beloved!
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Today people will cheer with them!
Today was the best day ever. Especially for the two newlyweds, Tintin and Archibald Haddock. The famous reporter and his sea captain, both were well-known as the do-gooders. Finally they settled down with each other, just like people had expected. Many people had won bets ('Will Haddock Marry Tintin?' was quite famous in the papers and in the betting place) from this, but that meant that there were many people who lost their money from it too.
They had tied the knot that morning, and now was the wedding ceremony. They had been lovers for uncountable years. When they came clean, they were surprised when people around them said 'I've told you!', 'You won!', 'Aw, lovely!', and the list went on and on. Even the detectives had placed a bet to each other, and Thompson lost half of his money in his thick wallet. The detectives!
Haddock was in his early forties and Tintin was just turned thirty. But their huge age difference might mean one day, like what Castafiore had said. They had married almost a decade after Calculus proposed the Milanese Nightingale, and their eight-year-old daughter Lauren was Tintin and Haddock's flower girl.
Haddock had turned surprisingly dashing. He had proposed to the still love-blind Tintin (even after they had become lovers, Tintin was still as oblivious as a first year schoolboy!) since the lad was still twenty eight years old, but this and that (read: those horrid adventures, Tintin's unsure answer, the near to death incidents which happened to both of them, etc, etc) had postponed them.
Now, he was standing nervously on the door of the hall of Marlinspike Hall. His tuxedo shone from the dizzying light. The guests weren't much, since paparazzi were not allowed into the mansion, and the newlyweds only wanted close friends to attend, since the two of them didn't have any family remained. Snowy ate below Calculus's chair, he seemed as happy as the people there. Haddock's Siamese cat, Hamlet (Haddock had thrown the creature with that book and Tintin decided to name her with that name, despite the fact that the cat was indeed female) sat near the fireplace, sleeping.
"Look! We have the groom ready!" Haddock could hear Cristina Thomson's confident, teenage voice boomed from the speakers. She was standing proudly on 'the stage', the makeshift stage Nestor and Castafiore's (even after all this time, Haddock always considered her as a Castafiore, although she had given up her maiden name years ago) servants had made, smiling widely. She was much unlike her father.
Speaking of Cristina's father, he was standing behind Haddock, his tux was almost as debonair as Haddock's and his friend's (since Haddock himself had put two wide eyes on them, so they wouldn't mess up with clothes like they used to do).
Thomson and Thompson were Haddock's groomsmen, and their wives were Tintin... bridesmaids? Anyway, Calculus (with his hearing aid, since his wife had insisted him to wear it and that made him to be a greater professor than before) was Haddock's best man after Haddock (finally) allowed him to wear a green coat for the ceremony. Green!
Cristina was standing next to a huge thing covered in a black cloth. It was put on the centre of the stage, in front of the huge window so the moonlight shone directly to it. Haddock didn't know what it was, but when he was going to ask Thompson about it, he was shoved inside by them. He didn't hear Cristina calling him from the stage, since he was too busy with his own thoughts.
"Come on, you've been called!" Thomson said.
"To be precise, you've been called us!" Thompson added.
Haddock wanted to snort at Thompson's randomness, but he decided to ignore it. He walked toward the stage, his steps light and hasty on the red carpet. He remembered the bells ringing and ringing, the sweet voice when he had lifted Tintin's veil and kissed the lad. He had insisted to wear an incredible gown for this morning, and carrying a bouquet of flower like a proper bride.
Now, Haddock wondered what would happen now. He had arrived to the stage, and Castafiore's professional pianist, Igor Wagner, was playing a soft love song, together with one of Thompson's twin sons. Pamela, Cristina's little sister, and Castafiore (of course) started to sing the song. Somehow the girl inherited Castafiore's high-pitched voice. But the song went unnoticed as Cristina walked toward Haddock, her black hair shined below the light.
"Well, our lucky man," she said cheekily. "What are you feeling tonight? Happy?"
"Er... yes. I'm so happy." Haddock couldn't say anything more to express his happiness. He was more than happy and he knew that. He even didn't swear and drink and smoke anything since yesterday, he was too nervous to let the familiar pack of words to come out, to let the alcohol down his throat, to let out a smoke from his lips.
"Nice to hear that," Cristina giggled. "I hope your beloved was happy too. Well, then, I have a question for you, Monsieur."
"What is that?"
"Do you know Blue Lotus?"
Haddock had to spin his brain. "One of Tintin's adventures."
"Exactly!" Cristina smiled at him. "But since we're not talking about adventures now," she snapped her fingers and all the lights went out, and now it was only the moonlight shone the covered huge thing on the stage. Haddock snapped back, he was surprised. Thomson and Thompson began to laugh quietly, followed with their wives.
"Since we're talking about Tintin, I'd rather call our beloved bride to come," she ended her monologue. But Haddock didn't hear her words anymore. He heard a sound of the black cloth being removed and now his attention was focused to a huge, blue closed flower in front of him.
Lotus, he thought in shock. It was breathtaking. The lotus was indeed blue, because every petals were filled with water and blue shining balls floating inside every of them. Haddock couldn't move, couldn't blink. It was the most wonderful unreal flower he had ever seen.
Haddock walked forward slowly and touched the 'flower' slightly. It was like touching a velvet blanket. And slowly but surely, the petals began to move under Haddock's touch. Haddock took a step backwards, but still couldn't tear his eyes off the amazing thing in front of him.
The gleam of the flower could brighten the entire dark hall. But Haddock didn't care of it. He was still transfixed at the blooming flower.
And inside the flower, someone sat.
Someone sat in there; her face against her lap, the veil closed her face. She posed like a sleeping statue of a goddess, or maybe like a ballerina. She wore an amazing white glittery dress, and suddenly the wind blew from the window (Haddock had sworn that he saw a fan outside before the ceremony began). The long robe that attached to her dress swished backwards and waved behind her, making the guests gasped in awe. It was indeed, an exquisite sight.
Unless...
"Tintin..." Haddock called breathlessly. The person inside the flower looked up slowly, making the quiff on his head looked obvious below the almost transparent veil. "Tintin!"
Tintin smiled coyly at him, almost unseen below the white veil. He looked so bashful, just like a lad Haddock had confessed his deep love to years ago. "Captain," he called softly. He wore the same veil under the same silver crown The Calculus family had given them as a gift for their marriage.
Suddenly...
"KISS! KISS!" Both of them turned their heads at the source of voice. Chang was shouting alone, a huge grin on his face. Snowy barked beside him, as if agreeing with the young man. Tintin began to laugh, followed by Haddock and then all people in the hall were laughing. Haddock looked back to the man he loved and saw Tintin blushed at him.
"Should we give what they want to see?" Haddock whispered, giving Tintin his hand. Tintin blinked at him and took it. His legs were still posed like what Haddock saw before, his legs looked long with that pair of white stilettos.
"It's private," Tintin whined, and Haddock laughed.
"It's not anymore since this morning." Haddock cupped Tintin's covered face with his other hand. "People know enough already."
There were more shouts, it seemed like all the guests were encouraging them. Haddock knew what he should do. He stepped on one of the petals and pushed himself up, meeting Tintin's veil. "Now we can take this off, shall we?" he pushed up the veil and revealed Tintin's flushed face. Then, he kissed his bride deeply.
There were cheers, shouts, laughs, blow kisses, salutes. After the kiss ended, Tintin slowly rose, Haddock's hand tight on his grip. With his dress waved backwards and those high heels, the adventurer surely couldn't walk straight. Haddock knew he had to help him if something happened.
But no, Tintin kept walking, as if he had practiced before. He was much taller this time but still shorter than Haddock. They walked down the stairs from the side of the stage and Tintin unclasped his long robe, left it on the stage. He revealed a knee-length white dress. Haddock had to hold his breath. This dress looked more amazing than the one Tintin wore that morning.
"Now, the newlyweds shall lead the dance!" Cristina exclaimed, and Haddock realized that he had forgotten the young lass. She snapped her fingers and lights came out again, almost blinding all of them. Igor Wagner and one of Thompson's lads played an energetic song, Pamela sang with Castafiore. Haddock automatically placed his hand on Tintin's waist, and in the matter of seconds, they were dancing on the suddenly empty floor.
Ding, dong, ding, dong
What should I do?
Ding, dong, ding, dong
The love is choking me
Haddock gripped Tintin's waist and lifted him up. Tintin laughed and they danced happily. Suddenly, people were dancing near them. Chang took his fiancé and the detectives were dancing clumsily with their wives. Lauren Calculus was jumping alone, but suddenly Snowy joined in and the little girl finally found a dancing companion. Her father was watching all of them, nodding his head along with the music and cherishing his wife's beautiful voice.
Ding, dong, ding, dong
We've gone to the moon
Ding, dong, ding, dong
We've been on a run
Ding, dong, ding, dong
But nothing is more exciting
Ding, dong, ding, dong
Than being in love
In the middle of the beautiful happiness, Tintin kissed his Captain. "What do you think of the Blue Lotus? Professor made it for us."
"The best, my boy," Haddock buried his head to Tintin's crown, ruining his quiff completely.
"Don't call me 'boy' again." Tintin smiled at him. "It makes me feel like I'm your son or something."
"Alright, my love," Haddock said, and he kissed him again. They stopped dancing and sat in the corner. "It seemed like our goddaughter is having fun with your dog."
Tintin laughed at the sight of Lauren and Snowy between all the dancing people. He sighed and put his head on Haddock's shoulder. "I can't wait for our honeymoon. I love this day, but I can't wait for us to be alone. Actually I keep this thing," he pulled on his dress, "for our honeymoon. But Bianca said it would be best if I wear it now."
"You're amazing today," Haddock kissed his nose. His face turned a bit dark, and Tintin asked what was wrong. Haddock only shook his head and hugged him tighter. "I guess I should send her a thank you note, without messing up her name like what she always does to mine."
