Started a new part-time thing in addition to my full-time thing yesterday. Worked for roughly fifteen hours, six of those which were spent standing. Isn't that wonderous?
This morning I met up with Karen, who I haven't seen in probably a year. She is awesome and we should hang out more. We went to Brian's which has been much more hit-than-miss for me lately, and had giant breakfasts with mimosas. I mean orange-juice-flavored champagne. Considering I had multiple glasses last night it seemed like a good idea. When did I even start liking champagne? Anyway, mimosas - tasty. Biscuit? EPIC. Mmmmm. I love Brian's more often than not.
We originally went there to A) get some ideas collaborated for her new tat. She was well prepared, gold stars for her! We also went because we haven't seen each other in forever and I told her she could vent about her recent breakup. Oh, so of course after Awesome Breakfast, to which I drove, we were almost back to her place, who else would we see except her ex-boyfriend? Coming out of some random complex next to an attorney's place with a big laundry basket? So of course I drove (as heartily prompted by her) around the block again so she could figure out why he would not just use the laundry at his own complex. Which meant then of course as we were circling past we would see aforementioned ex-boyfriend getting more boxes out of his truck and walking back to the complex. With a girl. Perhaps it was just a coincidence and they happened to be walking past the car at the same ti--- oh, she has her hand on his back.
Oh dear.
Anyway, my friend didn't vomit in my car, which was also great, but I could not hug her because she was driving. ::cringe::
After I dropped her off, the day had not collapsed for me and was actually proving to be quite nice, so I went down to Blick to get some more holiday card stuff plus the new Juxtapoz (and Giant Robot). Wandered a bit through Little Italy, admiring the scenery and enjoying the weather. Then I came home and napped for multiple hours. It was nice.
The rest of the day has been relaxing and not bad. We're just chillin' here at the house.
Oh, and Jason shaved his head again, like two hours ago. It looks like yum. I like when he's got 2-day stubble + sideburns + shaved head. Photos to follow.
