miss pris is giving me the world's cutest glare from the office window. it's open, there's a breeze.
tomorrow i pack to go visit PA for several days. looks like the weather will be interesting and possibly house some thunderstorms. the leaves should be well into their chameleon season, and i hope to get a few good photos. i'm going because i wanted a break from everything here for awhile, and also the timing worked out that i'll be attending the wedding of (somebody that i used to know) during the visit. it was either take this weekend off or nothing until early december and then you run into holiday season. ugh. but, her wedding gives me an excuse to dress up and go to a big fancy party and have free dinner. you can't beat that. i even got a swanky new dress that makes me feel Extra Fancy.
speaking of big fancy parties, Black&WhiteBall 8 was this weekend. it's the lovechild of two of my homies who celebrate birthdays during september. you must wear black AND white, and black, and white. i wore a costume from several halloweens ago - it's actually supposed to be magenta from rocky horror but i just didn't feel like doing the wig and crazy thing. so instead it turned into what another friend deemed 'naughty swiss miss'. haha!
this is me, telling miss pris that no, BWB8 is *not* for little kitties, but they might make an exception because she follows the dress code.

i'd talk about the government shutdown but don't really feel like doing that. j isn't working right now because of it, yay. and by yay i mean it's bullshit, even though there's always that conundrum of 'man, it's nice not to be in the office but uh, that whole getting paid thing is great. too bad that's not happening right now'.
but i don't feel like talking about much of that at all, or talking about MY work, because i'm there 40 - 50 hours a week as it is.
so anyway, kitties. :x
