Life just passes us by
Remember when getting high meant swinging at the playground? The worst thing you could get from boys was cooties, mom was your idol your dad was your hero, and the three ninjas were the boys you were going to marry. Your worst enemies were your siblings. Race issues were who ran the fastest, war was a card game, the only drug you knew of was cough medicine, and wearing skirts didn't mean you were a slut. The only thinq you smoked was the tires on your bike, the only thinq that hurt was skinned knees and the only things that could get broken were your toys. Life was simple and care free, but what I remember the most was wanting to grow up.-from laura's post on myspace.
Thoes days are gone now. But what I remember is being faced with drugs, violence prejiduce. Why is it that the younger we were the more of these things we're faced with? I mean comment if you were ever faced with things like smoking and stuff when you were a kid. I'm probably not the only one. But boy do I miss thoes days. Now me and my friends get to say "remember when acacia dated shaun" or "that one game of kickball ROCKED so much" there are other times when we go "do you remember feb. 20? when chainhalt died?" or "remember when ilean died" it's thoes times I do not miss and will never EVER miss. But thoes people I will. Just think we're all still growing up and I can say *for a fact* that when I'm 56 I will still be growing up, because sometimes you just haven't had enough fun for 20 years. Man being a senior is gonna rock and suck!
