I am hearby changing my life. Brace yourselves.
Normally, Carroll wouldn't be concerned with material items, but spending much time with Elyse has brought her to realise that material things are cool, right? No, with this Carroll sees how Elyse spends most of her money for an apartment she doesn't need. (It's much bigger than her means) She also goes to the tanning bed, wasting up to 15 dollars a week, gets her nails done, 15 dollars a month, buys numerous purses (she's obsessed) that is what she consides cheap-under 20 dollars. Sure, she makes stuff herself, most of which is shirts but instead of picking items up from goodwill or something, she buys new paints and new t shirts to decorate. Not only is this much more costly, but it's not as cool. And Kevin, who is much like Elyse because he is locked up in the materialistic world, bought the 400 xbox 360 and intends to buy the ps3 when it comes out. He also pays alot of money for digital cable and a wide screen plasma t.v.
And, they don't even have a kitchen table.
What does my sister do to get all of this stuff she doesn't need? She works at KFC. She recently got a promotion, and hates her new, higher paying job much more than her older one. She works there all day and goes home, just to watch her expensive t.v. that tries to sell her more products, so she must earn more money.
So, here's how Carroll is changing her life.
Screw tanning bed, it feels good, but it's no different than sitting outside feeding birds on a park bench, and thats funner, so it goes.
I will start stealing toilet paper from bathrooms in gas stations.

and we're going to live in a big old house
we're gonna do cool stuff to it, too. Paint the walls all awesome and stuff and making it look all, well, you know, crew like. We'd all have a room and we get to do with it what we want, even if its making a hole in the ground to make a pit. We don't care.
I'll make my own drums.
I'll take furniture from people's trash.
I'll talk to local restaurants about giving the food they were going to throw away for the day to me.
I'll shop at thrift stores, but probably make clothes (or alter them) myself.
I'll work for people who are working for projects in exchange for food, a free copy/admission, or just because its fun. Thats like volunteering to clean up a dance studio if you can take lessons for free.
All of this, and more, will help me never to have to work. So I can devote my time to me and what I like to do.
I got all of that from "Days of War, Nights of Love: A CrimethInc. for Beginners"
