silly crap i learned this weekend because my school bus decided not to come
i took it upon myself to learn all these not really useful facts this weekend. i didnt realize i actually retained knoiwledge from all the news and history channel and movies ive watched this weekend until my older brother came over and i started reciting all the information. most of its quite ridiculous
theres this fungi being produced to taste and supplement meat on the market, its called "Quorn," like corn, and it comes seasoned.
right now theres an 18 year old democrate serving on the ohio legislative and currently there are two others running for election. one is actually 17 currently but will be 18 in time for office. the 54 year old republican running against one was quto of saying, "what democrates try today, republican may try tomarrow." he didnt seem grudgingly at all.
as of oct. or nov. weve had a shadow goverment in dc. participating politicains have been completely cut off from the outside and havent seen their families since then. i just think thats scary.
Lincoln is the only president holding a patent. he designed some sort of floatation device for steamships so that they wouldnt run aground. it never caught on. probably because steamship running onto sandbar wasnt that common.
the original cat woman patented a panty hose that accentuated curves and created a bum. it also never caught on.
mark twain is responsilbe for creating scrap books and photo albums that have the sticky pages. this did catch on.
Angola state prison was created right after the civil war by a private investor. the entreprenuer or plantaion owner struck a deal with the lousiannian goverment that if he housed and feed the prisoners that they were to farm and cultivate the plantation for his profit. most prisoners were freed slaves that turned to crime when there was no way to make a living. talk about the irony. Angola is currently still in use and it was donned "bloodiest prison in America" but recently it has been under reform and has changed drastically in the last 15 years
thats enough for now. i got a kite with xena:warrior princess on it from the dollar store and oscar melanie and i flew it for a while last nite. its been the windiest winter i can remeber in florida. its been lovely and surreal. ive got this whole surreal painting series im going to start creating from the past months evenings. i think they will be added to my picture book.and i want to take pictures in melanies house of the vibrante still lifes she has unintentionally set up. like of the mops and her garage, and the view of the garage from inside the car we clam baked this weekend.
