I guess I've reached the point in my education where the values my parents taught me and the values my professors are attempting to teach me simply do not agree.
My dad always said, "Try to go a whole day without starting a single sentence with 'I' or 'My' or any other 'Me Word'.
Now, I go to class and say, "Well, some people don't have those financial resources," and the professor scolds me, saying "You mean in your opinion, some people don't have those financial resources."
I say, "Yeah, sure."
What degree of relativity are we dawning upon, here?
Now I have to be self-centered to be politically correct.
I'm not sure what I think about that.

I'm also really, really sick of feeling like I have to work really, really hard and say really, really complicated, wordy things all the time for people to respect me and think I'm intelligent.
I get by.
Sometimes college sucks of pretense.
