Wow. I just know it and believe it that God is going to do great, big things in our cell group this year. Thank You for an incredible first night!
It's so easy to lose track of the big picture when we're caught up in the everyday emergencies -- of assignments, essays, deadlines, readings, lab hours; of taking care of our bodies with cooking & exercise & laundry; of caring for people; of planning to catch up & then the catching up; even during quiet times with God, when we try so hard & have to schedule Him into our busy days -- we can so easily forget to think about where we are going & what we are revolving our life around.
But I find that I'm finding the joy. The things I plan for in a day, usually never happen the way I plan for them to. Yet, somehow, my goals are accomplished. Somehow, I am reminded, even when I forget initially, to do the things I need to do, to care for the people who need some lovin'.
So to my Father Above, thanks for the reminders. Thanks for the people, for the blue skies, for the changing colours of the leaves, for random spurts of inspiration.
I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
-- Philippians 1:3-6
Happy first day of autumn.
