another batch of firsts:
this year has had more than its fair share of firsts. my first time in the pec pool, my first cadaver, my first time sledding down summerhill. now there are more to add to the list.
on saturday, i bought my first bottle of nail polish. i then proceeded to paint my nails that afternoon - for the first time in my life. apparently, this particular nail polish changes colours! - according to the light, not according to my mood. and i can't believe i spent over $60 at shopper's(?!) never again. & i finally had "leen goh" this year, the best kind that's pan-fried with scrambled egg. (mmm thanks, pearl!) & it finally happened - one of my profs didn't show up for lecture! the first time in nearly 3 years at queen's. (can you believe it?) and i was even there early for class that time. &! i'm going to asian semi tomorrow night - for the first time.
these are milestones, i tell ya.
and i'll be a march break open house tour guide this year!
i love learning such interesting tidbits about queen's.
yesterday, after my french presentation, i felt this pulsating desire within me to be creative.
so when am i gonna sit down & learn to play the guitar well?
i feel at a loss without my camera.
will i resolve to write?
and things for my future are so up in the air.
i say things with certainty, but the words are built upon crumbling foundations,
supported by structures of air & vapour & starry-eyed ideals.
i need to learn to articulate my opinions & ambitions.
