Ok, I've checked the calendar with the cute cats on it that
Willow hung up near the fridge, and it's definitely the middle of June. So what's up with the sudden surge of evilness that's been going on? And why is
Giles all with the grumpy routine and the not answering his phone? I mean, he's the one that usually calls me and tells me about these things, not the other way around! Since when is the slicing and dicing of a homeless man and attacks on couples getting all smoochy out on Lover's Lane not something to worry about? And I don't buy his line about being "under the weather" over the weekend, either. Giles could be on his deathbed and he'd still be all with the research.
I've got Will checking to see if she can dig up anything in the police reports and put the
rest of the gang on alert to keep their eyes open for more reports of the weirdness. Anya said she'd see if there was anything going around the demon grapevine about these attacks, but she's so not with the subtle that I doubt they'll tell her anything. Xand is all paranoid that it's something his crew dug up, but I dunno; it just doesn't seem to have that fresh from the Hellmouth feel to it. Well, the attack on the people out on Lover's Lane doesn't, but that homeless guy? Yeah, it seems way more demony to me than Hannibal Lector. Although they did say he looked kinda like ground hamburger.
Oh, and
Dawn? You are so not as slick as you think you are. What, you think I didn't do the duck and evade with Mom about
Angel? Nice try, little sis. I'm gonna see about sending in the
secret weapon while I'm doing my Slayer thing; introduce Dawn to the old hook and switch thingy.
