Was it this hard getting my life back together after a few months being dead? Somehow I don't remember it being that bad. Of course, if I'd signed up for a semester of school then, I'd have had the perfect excuse for not showing up. Getting stuck time traveling doesn't exactly rate high on UC Sunnydale's list of acceptable reasons for dropping out without notice. Luckily, I managed to use the wound, nearly healed now, to convince them I'd been in the hospital. Totally lame, since I don't exactly have medical records, but they bought it enough to refund most of my tuition.
Dawn seems...good, I guess, although I get the feeling stuff went on that she's not telling me. Which I guess I'm gonna let drop for now, because she does seem okay, and Sunnydale isn't overrun by demons, and if it's guy trouble I can't exactly force it out of her, y'know? So I'll wait and see if she wants to let me in on whatever it is. We're planning a shopping trip for this weekend for her and some of her school friends to get prom dresses, should be a fun sister-bonding thing.
I barely got to say hello to
Riley before he went to LA to get some personal item of
Angel's. Guess it wouldn't have been much of a reunion anyway with the house this crowded, and the rest of the missing people hanging over our heads. Hadn't realized how much I missed him until I saw him again, and then whoosh, he's gone.
Meanwhile,
Ethan Rayne is supposedly helping
Will and
Tara with getting
Giles and everyone back, but mostly he just seems to be whining a lot. I can't believe I've got the big jerk sleeping on my couch, but I figure it's better than letting him go off and do god knows what else to people, or maybe screw up the rest of the people getting back. Once Giles gets back we can figure out what to about him, or maybe about that Zabuto guy he's been going on about. It's really taking a lot not to beat the crap out of him just on principle.
Anya just came by with a bunch of stuff that Giles left at the Magic Box--maybe there's something personal in there that we can use to find him. 'Cause I'm not putting a whole lot of faith in that dumb map thing that Ethan's playing with.
