So yea, I havn't been a fan of the media for quite some time, extemely biast, and always trying to shove their opinions down our throats from blaming EVERYONE but themselves for everything

hmm they wont comply so we should roll over and just accept it? It sounds like you want the airlines to do it, and when they dont your content to just let it go. Lets face it if we want it to change we can try and influence the airlines directly, lets stage a boycott. Unfortunately I doubt you could organize enough people to make it matter as air travel is so necessary for so many people. We could write angry letters to the CEOs, I'm sure we would get heartfelt template letters back telling us how they are doing everything they can. We could launch a multimillion dollar campaign against one airline, plague them until they fix their security and then use them to pressure other airlines to follow. Now we just need multimillions and trust we dont get sued, or that their counter campaign isnt more effective. We could blow up their refueling facilities in protest and then send a demand for reform or the attacks will continue, of course then we would be terrorists. Government is there for a reason, and I beleive one of them is to keep us safe, and blowing up in an airplane does not sound safe to me. So then the media spurring the public to put pressure on the government is in my opinion how the system is supposed to work.
