I swear to god, Italy is so entertaining.

I was riding a bus to Cipro station yesterday, and at one stop, there's an older guy beating the shit out of some small preteen boy, with his wife yelling with wild, flamboyant arm gestures at the boy.  The boy gets up and tries to run away, but the man catches him, and beats him again.  Apparently the boy was a pickpocket, and he had just stolen the wife's purse.  After the boy gives it back though, everything's fine and they pretend nothing happened.  This morning, I was waiting for my train to Bologna - which is where I'm at right now - and some guy dashs past me, with a police soon to follow.  The guy's soon caught by a couple of police officers, and he starts yelping like a dog.  His yelping attracts quite a bit of attraction.  The police search his bag to find a couple of wallets.  So...Rome having pickpocketers, most definitely not a myth.
