[Jesse is also still himself, and has wandered off the Barge in a haze of WTF. He's so busy gawking at everything around him -- and getting plenty of weird looks in return, considering the way he dresses, and the fact that he's smoking -- that he doesn't even notice Zuko until he practically runs into him.]

Watch it, yo. [He sees Zuko's face and takes a step back, blinking.] Oh. Uh. [Well, that's fucked up.]

[Zuko is more than used to people staring at him like that, and it still kind of distantly pisses him off. The only sign of it though is a slight frown, his brows furrowing, before he says, quite flatly:] Sorry.

No, uh. My bad. [Jesse has learned: don't mess with dudes with crazy scars, because they probably did some messed-up stuff to earn them.]

Wait, hang on. Were you on the ship? The Barge, I mean? [He's not, like, an expert on clothes or anything, but Zuko looks sort of different from everyone else, and he's getting the same sort of looks Jesse is...]

Yeah. My name's Zuko. [He's at least fitting in a little more than Jesse, if only because the technology and general feel of the town isn't too far off from what he's got back home, but Jesse really does stick out like a sore thumb.] Have you seen anyone else?

Jesse. And nah, not yet. [He drags on his cigarette and lets out a huff of smoke, which causes a bit of a stir among the locals. He glances around, side-eyeing them all.] What the fff--fairy Halloween is this place?

[You are just getting a very weird look. Because seriously, what's wrong with you, fjord? :|] It's a port. I don't know if it's anyone's home world or anything, but it's like the Admiral said. We're here for a few days, try not to get killed.

This isn't that bad. Be happy weren't not back in Jurassic Park. [And while admittedly, that hadn't really been a fun port either, at least that time, he'd known where everyone was, and had his bending.]

You guys went to Jurassic Park? That sounds fulminating awesome, though. That movie was the bomb! [Okay, to be fair, being eaten by a real dinosaur would blow. But... dinosaurs! Even Jesse had had his dinosaur phase, way back before his pot phase had started.]

Spongebob! Uh, yeah, sort of. But... longer. And different. More... [He gestures to the marketplace with his smoke.] Well, like this. All princesses and singing and shoehorns like that. [He winces.] They're not gonna sing, right?

[Dryly:] Less awesome when one of the inmates you're with tries to steal eggs and the mother finds out about it. [Already this port was more awesome in one important way: Leezar was no whee in sight and therefore the likelihood that Zuko would have to put up with him was pretty small.

He shrugged. He hadn't known that singing was even something found in the cartoons until Jesse had mentioned it.] I don't know. I didn't exactly get a brochure on this place before we left. [And as an afterthought:] I hope not.

[Okay, look, Jesse is... pretty stupid, but even he's not that stupid. Mostly because he saw the freaking movie. He gives Zuko a look that's half-disbelieving, half-sympathetic.] Socks, yo.

Oh, come on, I can't even say-- [He huffs, annoyed, holds up the smoke.] Guess I should be grateful this didn't turn into, like, a pipe or something, too, right? Geez.

Anyway, I'm just saying, look out for the singing. Cause they do that in the Disney flicks. I got-- had a little brother, I know.
