[Zuko can be found today in the area between house 56 and the barracks. He's looking annoyed, and is working through drills with his dual Dao blades with more focus then he really needs. When he pauses for a moment the journal picks up on his voice, and he's sounding very frustrated]I thought we were through all this. Now she can't even remember

[Gah, where's Aang when you need him? Without him, Sokka has to fill in for team mediator. So after hearing Zuko's message, he'll be heading outside to meet him. He'll be pretending he missed the message.]

Hey Zuko. Need someone to practice with? [ooc: If you want, we can assume they haven't talked about Katara yet. Sokka has probably been avoiding doing it up until now.]

[Well Sokka will go ahead and swing first.]

[Zuko will block that swing and then go for a swing at Sokka.]

Fine. Everything is normal. [Except that tone of voice says that everything is not fine, at all, in the slightest, ever.]

[Sokka is able to deflect that, locking blades with Zuko.]

Really? You sound grouchy. And I don't mean just normal Zuko grouchy, either.

[Zuko will hold that blade lock for a bit testing Sokka's strength. There is a frustrated growl form Zuko.] We've been kidnapped to a strange place. Toph and you are the same as always, and your sister is back to hating me again. What's not normal about that?

[Sokka is able to hold it for the moment, the advantage of using a sword one-handed.] You forgot about the wings.

[Zuko will put his weight into the blade lock to break it.] That's right. We have stupid wings on our back, and something has made my bending weaker. [Do you hear the frustration setting in Sokka?]

[Sokka breaks free of the lock and backs off.] On the other hand, you're living in a decent place and you do have two friends here who are glad to have you around. It's not great Zuko, but it could be a lot worse.

[Zuko resets his stance after the lock was broken, ready to go again with Sokka.] Is it too much to ask for Katara to not be at me all the time?

No, it's not. But it's not her fault she doesn't remember any of that stuff. [Sokka stands ready. Your move.]

[Zuko takes a lunge at Sokka.]

So what do I do? She treating me like I'm still out to kill her all the time.

[Sokka is able to dodge that blow. Fortunately he's a lot calmer than Zuko is right now.]

You just have to prove that you're not out to kill her, preferably by not killing her. You've done it once. I know you can't exactly go on a bonding trip to try and kill somebody, but you'll find a way to make do.
