Prins Albert resto at the new world hotel has a all you can eat lunch for 1200++ (started last june 1)
No buffet but you can order anything of the special menu for 1200. A selection of appetizers, soups, salads, main courses and some good looking dessert cakes.
So i ordered for starters: smoked salmon tartar. Scallops & prawn salad, mussels in white wine
main course; 2 orders of rib eye steak, lamb rack and a veal dish. Yeah i only ate the meat!!! forget the sidings man!
For dessert; some lovely chocolate cake.
According to the dinner menu i ate for 7700 bucks (if you can believe they really charge 1700 for a rib eye steak)
Ok the service is SUPER SLOW with only 3 tables. They really don't want you to eat there because the speed really sucked. With 2 white chefs and a 1/2 dozen of locals it wasn't that great. I mean the steak is good, well of course what can go wrong with grilling Angus beef. The lamb was ok also but the veal sucked.
Will i go back? Yes but i will only eat like 4 steaks and salad! haha a kilo of Angus!
cheers, check it out until it last because i talked to the restaurant manager and discussed that the food cost is sky high (if you know what that is), like 70% while normally this should be 25-30% max.....any way
