I have now put myself down for classes. I am still not sure how I will pay, but I suppose that is a problem that people at Universities suffer everywhere. There is one thing...I am 34 years old and taking classes at a college. I have seen the students walking about and they are at least a decade younger than I. It feels strange, a bit uncomfortable as well. I feel as if I should be teaching these people, not taking classes with them.
Perhaps that is how I can pay! After spending some time here, I can apply to become faculty. Now that would be interesting. I have any number of skills I can bring to the table so it is logical to assume that they would hire me. I will also feel more at ease being around these young people when they look up to me, which was only natural in my job back home. Right now being grouped with teenagers has my chainmail in a wad, so it were.
I suppose it is not as bad as it seems. After all, just because somebody is young does not mean that they are not a stellar individual. There obviously are many fine young men and women here, so I should not worry too much about taking classes with them.
