A return!
Dear me, has it indeed been so long? I had claimed that I would be gone a month's time, yet an entire season has come and gone! The time certainly does fly, and I do understand that I spent a long time at home...but I had once again assumed my duties as Knight Protector while there. I was not intentionally skirking my job here as Swords instructor, not one bit. I thoroughly enjoy my employment at the university, and I shall return to it now that I am once again here in Arcadia.
I admit that my reasons for remaining at home so long were in part personal. Nay, they were mostly personal. I still have my dear love Beatrix at home in Alexandria, and I spent moment upon blissful moment with her...as if I could absorb her very essence and take it with me. It does not work that way, so instead I dared to ask her for her hand. We have been together for a few years now, and we have quite hit it off. A greater match cannot be found.

I understand her reasoning: a female warrior and knight of Alexandria does not wed. We Pluto Knights are another matter, but in that society a woman does to her duty what she cannot do to her own personal life. It is a sad thing, but this is how Alexandria has been so efficiently run by the female persuasion for centuries. It wounds my heart that we cannot be joined in this way, but I truly understand why. If we were born in a different place or a different time, then perhaps...
