(no subject)
Today was one of those awesome days that happen just once in a while. Which is not saying little, since it was the two month day of the break up. Let me see if I can get it down in words. First off my sister came home for the weekend. I broke my vegetarianism by trying sushi for the first time. I didn't like it. Or, rather, I liked the pieces with vegetables inside. Next time I'll have just that, I think. But OK, so here's the list of awesomeness:
1. Yesterday I got to hang out with my cousins plus Kajsa, who is my sister Anna's best friend and almost like a second sister for me. They have been friends for almost 20 years, so it sure feels like it. It was great to just get to sit there and talk to everyone that I have missed so much.
2. Today I went to a craft fair with my grandma. I was curious if there were any knitted stuff, so I came even though I didn't think there would be any yarn. It turned out that there were! I spent way too much money, but got some amazing handspun silk/wool, and some very beautiful handdyed wool/angora, which was variegated in about the same color as caramel.
3. I asked the lady selling it where I can learn spinning, and she said she does classes! No more than three people at a time, and you get to learn at a wheel, not with a drop spindle. It's expensive, but I can save up. I hope.
4. My grandma told me she has an old spinning wheel that she inherited from her aunt that passed away last year and that I can have it. Yay! I've been wanting to learn how to spin for years!
5. I figured out how to get the entire contents of Anna's ipod onto my computer and I found some new, really good stuff. Mainly Hello Saferide and Lily Allen. They are both female artists and really damn cool ones at that.
And of course I have pics. I just don't have the time to post them right now, because my meds are about to kick in.
