Yesterday and Today

Yesterday
6:20am Arrived at coffee shop
6:30am Official opening time, remarkably ready in time
Call for a 2pm haircut, get a 2:30pm, attempt to call E to say I'll be late, but cellphone dead and three attempts at remembering his cellphone number fail
1pm Close coffee shop
Clean, put $8 of gas in car, stop at bank
2:30pm Hair appointment
2:45pm Reschedule hair appointment because she wasn't ready because at
3:30pm Meeting E in Burnsville
4:20pm Buy 3 CinnaMinis for $2 in order to get change to use the payphone to figure out where E is, fortunate began my habit of carrying around an address book this morning; get his cellphone number from his dad; call E and learn he had a nail in one of his tires
5pm-ish E arrives; elderly gentleman had been teasing about me being stood up and offering to take me out to dinner was still there
Bumming around the mall--massage chairs, B. Dalton, shoes, dinner
7:05pm E heads home, I head to Kinko's to spend $5 on 3 flyers and 2 sheets of coupons, cheaper to print myself?
7:55pm Arrive at coffee shop
8pm Officially open
Domdabomb is the only person who comes. Listen to the hippo song about a ten more times.
11pm Could have left if 1.) I had realized earlier that I still needed to clean out two coffee pots and 2.) hadn't had such a good time catching up with JT on AIM. Good times. And got my trivia, fact, and quote of the day taken care of.
12am Lock up
Arrive home to Ben practicing the Napolean Dynamite dance in costume; Mom up to watch--she warns me about burning out.
1:12am Shut off my light

Today
7:10am Finally pull myself out of bed, ironed I shirt I decided not to wear, left in a hurry
8:15am Remarkably arrived at work on time
11:30am Dropped a property abstract off in LeCenter--put $5.14 worth of gas in the car. Had prepaid for $5 but the machine didn't stop. Amazingly, I had exactly $0.14 left in my purse. Not happy that the cashier didn't tell that the pumps would stop at the prepaid amount.
1pm Return from my trek and retrieving my credit card, co-worker tells me to take it easy and take the half and hour I technically had left for a lunch break; read Harry Potter in a comfy leather chair in the conference room while wrapping my freezing hands around a steaming mug of apple cinnamon tea; eventually drank that too.
4:30pm After over an hour of stretch every assigned task out to make it last, one of the attorneys relieves me of my eternity of listlessly reading legal forms just for something to do by telling me to go home.
4:45pm Arrive home just as Adam and Mom do---they had been at the homecoming parade and the pep fest. Ben's float looked awesome and his dance earned a stanging ovation. Fortunately, Adam filming it all, so I got to see.
5pm Crashed into a 15 minute nap as Mom and Adam went back into town to get the Beetle
6pm Adam and Mom leave for dinner and the football game. I, wrapping in my favorite blanket and sit waking up, decide to sit homecoming out. Make venison open-a-can hotdish just for me and plan to watch Ocean's Twelve.
6:30pm Dad stops at home before going to the game and partakes in the hotdish. Rave reviews on my new creation.
7pm Start the move but end up pausing several time for phone calls. Learn that Toby can back a good pillow.
9pm Movie ends. I write here. I straighten up. Set out my clothes for tomorrow. And soon--soon, I will go to bed.

Good night!
