This blows

So I missed class last week on Monday. I really should have gone in despite feeling like crap. Now I am really behind and I feel like I can't catch up. Not to mention this weekend sucked and things just feel like they are falling apart.

Let's start with Saturday. I was a good day at the beginning. We slept in a little and got to cuddle and start the day off slowly. I had received a third place ribbon for my entry in the Creative Arts Festival and I wanted to pick up a frame for my work so that when I got it back I could display it with the ribbon. That meant we had to go to Concord to Michaels to get a decent looking frame and so I figured I'd grab the grocery list as well and we could do our shopping while we were down there. So after searching for what seemed like forever, I finally found a frame that I was happy with. I had to stop off at Staples to grab some funky push pins for our new cork boards and came to find out that Staples has the organization skills of a rat on crack. All sorts of need push pins, just scattered in every place around the store EXCEPT where the normal push pins are. So that took a while. Then we went grocery shopping. Note to anybody that may read this: Hanaffords in Concord (the one by Borders) SUCKS and is laid out COMPLETELY different than the one in Gilford. It took us over two hours to find what we needed and several things were in aisles that made absolutely no sense at all. Yeah sure, paper towels are always with the pet stuff...*grumbles* Also, if anybody knows me really well, they'd know that I HATE shopping for hours on end, especially when I can't find what I need. I almost broke down in tears when I couldn't find fruit roll-ups. So then Tiff and James came over and we watched Transformers. I tried to get a hold of Tanya but I got nothing back. I was so exhausted by that point that Corey made "dinner" (at 10pm).

Sunday is where things really got shitty. Well, it didn't start too bad. Corey got two new clients for plowing and one was a Realtor who said she has several clients that need their driveways plowed. We also heard from Rick that the guy who plows Gunstock Acres (read: very rich neighborhood with 200+ houses) had a nervous breakdown and is no longer plowing. So Corey has an opportunity to really make some money plowing now. The kicker is, we went to Dairy Queen at 7:30pm (it opened on Friday) in order to be back for 8:00 so Corey could get to bed and be up for 4:00am. Well, we get back to the truck and it's still warm so we don't turn it on right away while we finish our ice cream. When we were done, Corey went to start up the truck and it wouldn't start. No clicks, no nothing. The voltage was normal and there had been no grinding so we know it's not the oil pressure (the gauge is messed up, something electrical somewhere). We called AAA and because the plow was on it, they don't cover it. Some BS about their insurance and liability blah blah blah. They then proceeded to say it would be an hour and a half before they could dispatch anybody because they were so backed up. Um hello?! It's Laconia on a Sunday night. We are one of the few out and with the surrounding areas, there has to be AT LEAST 20 tow trucks, most affiliated with AAA. So we told AAA to go fuck themselves and called Al's and they said they could be there in the time it took to get from Belmont to Laconia (about 20 minutes). They had to charge $65 to tow it because of the plow and we didn't get home until 11:00pm.

Monday was no better. Because we got home so late, Corey decided to stay home and take care of the truck. It turns out the wires to the starter were so loose they just slipped out/off so nothing was getting the signal. That cost another $60 or so to fix (thank gods that was all though, it could have been A LOT worse). I was at school all day and Corey was home and that was driving me nuts. Trev got home and was sucking up all of Corey's time so I had little time to talk to him. Side note; I really want to drop my photography class. The teacher is a jerk and we aren't really learning anything. I finally get done with school and Corey (and Trev) pick me up and we went to dinner so Trev could tell us all about Italy. It was nice, but I missed my on-line "class" with Oprah for the book club. One more thing I'm behind on.
