Well, when you're fighting, it makes it harder for the other Pokemon to dodge.

And if you're in the grass and you use it, it's like a blinking neon sign over your head that says "HERE I AM PLEASE ATTACK MEEE!"

At least we were able to beat them, right? And I think everyone was able to catch another Pokémon, too... I got one of the Pidgeys that Elisa hypnotized.
