From what I remember, there was this really pretty princess who was cursed to die on her sixteenth birthday, except they worked some things around, so that when the curse kicked into effect, she only fell into a deep sleep. The whole kingdom did, actually, for years.

And the only thing that could break the curse was a kiss from her true love-- who was a prince, of course, that's usually how it works.

[Castiel seems to consider the story for several moments, and goes so far as to open his mouth to remark on it before remembering that it is, in fact, fiction.

So he just frowns thoughtfully instead.]

It's a story to me, but Ven actually knew the princess where he's from. And-- even in a place like this, I don't think that's the case, but he's been out for a week now. If this keeps up, I'll try anything.

It tends to be ...dangerous to mess with destiny, but... [Castiel pauses, tilting his head slightly to one side.] The story makes it sound as if the agents of fate were at work, and the princess wasn't truly destined to die. It's likely a Cupid marked her and her true love.

...But this world doesn't seem to contain the presence of any of my siblings.
