2. A song that makes you cry.

Take Me Home (Gran’s Song) - Lisbeth Scott and Nathan Barr

There aren't really a lot of songs that make me cry. Or, to be more specific, there are few songs that will make me cry by themselves. Even songs that have prompted me to cry in certain situations don't generally bring tears the next time I hear it. What is particularly weird about this is that I tear up at ridiculous things. Somehow, even very tragic songs don't bring on the waterworks.

I cried during this song while watching this scene. Generally that would make this situational crying except I cannot disconnect this song from the scene. I will always tie it to the idea of losing a family member. And that makes me fucking lose it.

In the sweet light
Of the valley,
When the sun falls
Upon the pine,
I shall lay down
All of my troubles,
And I lift up,
This heart of mine.

Take me home, Lord,
Oh take me home.
O'er the hillside,
And o'er the sea,
To the soft grass of the valley,
Where your grace
Shall set me free.

Through the shadow
Of the darkness,
Through the storms that
Lead me astray
I shall travel
Forever knowing
In your light,
I will always stay.

Take me home, Lord,
Oh take me home.
O'er the hillside,
And o'er the sea,
To the soft grass of the valley,
Where your grace
Shall set me free.
