They say nothing’s more important
Than every chance that you can leave.
Well who are they to you and me?
Once upon a New Year’s eve
You can realize we’re supposed to be
In love, or at least to a certain degree.
And I hope you may be able to agree
That through all of my heart’s debris
You can find the words
I love you Courtney.
Yours truly with sincerity
With not that much love
Left in my pile to bury
Under the tallest building
All throughout the city.
And with one more plea
You’ll wish to be free;
Wish to be taken away
Only when within my arms.
And she understands and also harms
Everyone that she unarms
But it’s clear through all our charms
That there’s a way
To turn back the day
And make it into yesterday.
Her smile departs any frown
And she’s the cutest girl through out town:
Fancied with a wall crashing down.
And inside of that gown
Made of feathers and white
You can say that we just might
Have the urge to incite,
But there’s no reason to excite,
No, my love, not tonight
But please do be polite
Because it’s time for you to recite
Everything that’s inside your head
And down there on your deathbed
You can tell me what I need to hear:
That you always want me near.
And I will do anything you tell me to
On the sole reason that I love you.
You can’t pretend that I’m not there
Although you make me kill and stare
There is not much reason to despair
But I can’t say that this is unfair.
But when the circles turn to squares
And the whispers turn to blares
And everything makes her unaware
But she best start to prepare
And there’s no reason to beware
No I will not stay inside the electric chair
But please could you be my prayer,
And there is not much reason to live or glare.
Do the stars shine the same
When I’m laying with you?
Let me ask you one question
Did all the boys feel this way too?
This is a never-ending story
But it begins with you and me.
It’s time to dance
So drop the romance
And put your arm on my hip
And press your lip to my lip
And we can act like nothing can be the same
We can look like we’re frozen in frame
There’s nothing here,
There’s no reason to fear
Because I’ll always love you
Even if you obstruct my view
As long as you can promise to be true.
On the train I can share my ink with you.
I can give you a quill full or two.
I can share with you my drink
But it might make you sick
In a perfect way; nice and quick.
You can be unconscious when you’re reading me poetry
And be fully awake when you’re kissing me.
When you talk to me you can be unbroken
And when you scream at me you can be under spoken.
You’ll be barely conscious when you’re writing a sonnet.
If you promise to stay awake I will keep you in tact.
But there’s not too much more to be desired
And there’s nothing more to be lacked.
So take my hand
And I can show to you
The promised land.
I just need you
To understand
That where you stand
Makes all the difference
In what becomes of us.
Well sitting in the moon light
Let me hold you tight.
Let me never let go,
Or at least not tonight.
Stay with me until I leave;
Stay with me forever.
Leaving love notes inside your locker
Seems pointless now when we’re alone
With nothing but a cordless phone
Followed by a lonely dial tone.
Makes me want to call one more time
Even if it costs a dime,
Because babe, you are worth anything.
You stand there,
Made up like a doll.
But you picked me up,
When I did fall
So no one would be standing tall.
Don’t try to rewrite what isn’t written
And don’t walk on ice, when it’s much too thin.
Take my hand, we can walk together.
And I really don’t know where to begin
Maybe in the web that I’ve started to spin
Made by the impression I’ve made under your skin
That wont go away with water and soap.
Hold me like your not afraid that I will go away
Love me like this is my last day.
I hope my life finishes every pain inside your heart
And heals every time it’s been ripped apart.
And unlike a paper cut, our love should not fade
In the same fashion that it was made;
In haste and generally misspoken
But always understood, and never broken
So I give you this as a token
Of loveliness and appreciation
And I hope that our relation
Never will end.
It’s time to finally reappear
And have no fear
I’ll always be here.
Well this love is nothing sheer
No I hope this gets severe
Because sometime in this year
I can promise we will love.
Raindrops on girls and
Kisses in the rain.
The glares from her
That take away all my pain.
Loosing yourself when you’re with me,
And hearing the words
I love you Courtney:
These are a few of my favourite things.
Suspended in this frozen bliss
Our entire lives left within a kiss.
And you must admit that love exists
Because of our fall into the abyss.
Next time you take a walk,
Take a look around you.
Every tree on the street
Has just been given a tattoo.
Written entirely complete,
Are the words “I Love You.”
One more week of walking
I might become one with you.
One more day of waiting
And I just might be through.
And I think I know what I’m getting into
So don’t talk me out of it.
So don’t let your heart decay
When it is inside of my body.
Just let your heart stay
Inside of me.
Half of mine, and half of yours
Combined into one
Perfect memory.
