Oh, you fool, you fool
Don't give in to fate
If this is all we've got to fight for
Rage, my darling, rage...If you're already getting sick and tired of my LJ being taken over by election-related ranting, well, go read someone else's LJ or something, because mine may well be that way for awhile. (And no, I'm not going to lj-cut this, either.) Every ( Read more... )

The Lieberman thing is particularly funny/heinous because it's not as if U.S. policy on Israel is going to change anytime soon, no matteer who's in office.

Keep it up, be mad, be furious, spit some nails... we need you. Remember, more than 50 million Americans agree with you. Right now I'm just praying that we don't get abandoned to this bloodthirsty wolf and his Crusading ways. I'm not interested in you "saving" me, Mr. Bush. I'd rather rot than be "saved" by the likes of you. I'm not interested in being "guided" by an administration that apparently finds the First Amendment morally repugnant.

On Daily Show last night, Jon Stewart had what I thought was a really great quote: "We keep hearing about 'liberal elites', but I wish someone would explain to me what is more elite than Christian conservatives thinking that they are the only ones going to heaven." The reasoning and beliefs of these people make no sense. Worse, they don't particularly care to make them make sense to the rest of us-- they are Right and we are Wrong, so we can damn well put up and shut up. No one is interested in dialogue. They have their political capital and they're going to spend it. Well, there is nothing but rage in my heart for that attitude, and I plan to spend the next four years of my life making their lives a living hell. I don't even particularly care if I get arrested for it, and for all those who think "not in America", check out the stories from Bush rallies.

But, mostly I'm posting to show off my new LJ icon. See? Pretty! :-D
