The Fic of Never Getting Finished has Screamers, and they parrot sounds they hear. This can lead to some rather disturbing moments when the zombie you are about to kill starts talking to you. Its mostly nonsense, but what if the last thing parrotzombie heard was someone screaming "PLEASE DON'T KILL ME"?
It can also, maybe, lead to graffiti reports of zombies that can talk. MAYBE.
They also have a rally hard time righting themselves if you knock them over. The poor thing will just lay there kicking like an overturned beetle until someone takes pity, or by some miracle it figures out how to flip itself over.
