Earlybird surprise!
Completley forgot that I'm getting on a plane on Saturday, so you guys get this a day early!
WHO WANTS TO MEET SOME IN-PROGRESS SURVIVORS?
Shanha and Chigusa!
These were some very early sketches of them i did during church. You can see where I was fiddleing with their outfits here, and if you squint you can find a really dumb scribble of their team leader Agatha in here.
About this point their designs were pretty set in stone, Shanha was going to be an adorable big lady with a wide frame, and Chigusa was going to be her scrawney ass counterpart. Shanha's hair style went through the most change, but her outfit remained pretty much the same, a sorta nice looking girl's T-shirt and some nice fitting jeans.

Shanha was in the middle of a Traffick jam with her then-fiance, Carlos, returning from a year long attempt to make it as a phtographer. She'd dropped out of a promising career as a nurse to be with her boyfriend and had moved away with him. Things eventually fell apart, and they decided to come back home to get their lives back under control, unfortunatley they returned at the height of the outbreak.
Shanha initially wanted to get out of the car to see what was going on when screaming was heard from a few cars ahead of them. She got into a fight with her fiance when he locked the cars, and it was quickly ended when a fellow driver suddenly put his head through the driver window and tried to drag Carlos out of the car.
Shanha was originally designed to be a survivor, if she gets infected, she would have been infected here, Carlos would turn into a common and attack her, and she'd turn into a Boomer. However, as a survivor, she manages to unlock the door and tumble out.
From there Shanha hid under over turned cars, and instinctivley tried to help other panicking people to the best of her ability. After the scuffle on the street (Highway?) she'd wander into town, and run into Agatha in an abandoned Grocery mart.
Shanha deals with the sudden Zombie-apocalypse determined to help people, and very optimistic, putting full faith into Agatha, who seems to know what is happening, if not at least being more adept at fighting than she is, and is positive that things will turn out all right. She clings to any radio transmission or TV broadcast of reassurance, and is sure the military will save them, and that they will make it to the next safe room, that they will make it to the evacuation. It's these little uncertain promises of safety that she clings to, to personally keep herself going in the long run. It's the safety of her future teammates and any sane, immune person they find that motivates her daily, and it's the delusion that deep down in each zombie there is still a person in there, that makes her rather terrified and reluctant to fight or kill them.
Shanha has had to quickly call back upon what knowledge she's retained from her short time as a nurse, and more than fighting, takes it upon herself to look out for her fellow teammates and patch them up and make sure they're healthy. Enough to keep moving. However, Shanha plays more than the team nurse, and under Agatha's tutelage has quickly learned how to use a few guns.
Shanha isn't really a fighter, she's more likely to be found trying to help people and carrying medpacks and pills for her team, and making sure they have as balanced a diet as possible despite the limited supplies. She dose eventually pick up a few tricks and learn how to use small handheld guns from Agatha.
Chigusaaaaa!
I had a hard time coming up for a last name for her (I still need one for Shanha and Agatha) and I've been playing a lot of Silent Hill recently, so I nabbed Harry's name. :3
Chigusa Mason is an older teenager, about 19. She suffers from bipolar Disorder and is very prone to freaking the fuck out. Keeping up with her anti-depressant medication will become a problem for the ladies as she only had a few week's supply left when they find her, and the last thing they need is having her fall into a deep depression and loseing any sense of self-preservation.
When the infection hit, Chigusa was home alone in the small apartment she shared with her father. Things got ugly very quickly, and she panicked and holed up in her closet. This is where Shanha and Agatha find her a few weeks later. Again, if she was infected, this is where she'd turn. She;d beocome a witch and hide in her closet because of all the lgihts and sounds, and surprise any unlucky survivors that might stuble upon her hiding place.
Chigusa is anti-social and reclusive, so she really dosen't know how to work very well on a team. She can also be pretty teenage dramatic and angsty. This gets on Agatha's nerves quite a bit, and the two rarley see eye to eye. She gets along all right with Shanha, but usually finds her anoying. Where shanha is very optiistic and hopefull, Chigusa is pessimistic and cynical about the situation and dosen't see it getting better any time soon...
Chigusa used to play softball, and has pretty good aim, so she uses a baseball bat for a melee weapon! 8D She and Agatha are the main fighters for the team.
A quick Body type sketch, trying to figure out their sizes in relation to one another. Shanha is short, chubby, and curvey, where Chigusa is tall (The tallest!), underweight, and flat and pointy.

I sure do have a tendancy to sprinkle bandaids all over these guys don't I...

Aaand that's all~! I hope to continue solidifying information about Chigusa and Shanha, and Agatha too, one of these day's I'll do a proper bio page for them. I hope to do a series of comic showing how they all reacted to the infection, how they got together, and some of their extremley depressing misadventures!
