[goooood morning, Somarium! it sure has been a long time since this face was on the network last, huh? Maka's sitting on her bed this fine morning, although she's already dressed and prepped up for the day; if you're perceptive enough, though, you might notice there's still some traces of sleepy on her face.]... So, I guess I was out for a while

[oh well about damn time-I mean and here he was thinking she would leave or something.]
I'm sorry to tell you this so soon after you've woken up, but we have a problem.
[also switching to private.]

The kind that slithers, right? Errrgh.
[yeah, someone's not a happy camper, especially right after having woken up]

but that sends a bit of an alarm as his look hardens.]
I take it you've made contact with her, then.

[and Maka... looks pissed, exasperated, and already at a loss, all at once. it's really pretty obvious.]
Cripes, I can't believe this. Of all the people that had to show up...!

To make matters worse, Soul and Professor Stein have left since you've been here. Black☆Star is currently in a sleep coma.

[her voice drops low; she's unhappy, but instead of sounding angry, now she, too, sounds exhausted. it's barely been twenty minutes. how could she feel so tired already?]

When did anything ever have good timing around here, anyway? ... Honestly, I shouldn't have been out like this at all. Maybe if I wasn't, then...

It was a probably good thing you were out for November considering what happened. As for December, it was rather peaceful so you didn't miss much aside from Christmas.

What happened in November?

You know the statue in the desert? It somehow became animated and attacked the city. There was also a plague of illness going around at the same time.

[jfc is there ANYTHING in this city that doesn't start attacking?!]
Ugh... I take it that most people are at least okay now, aren't they? It sounds like things aren't staying peaceful for too long at a time anymore.

But no, it does not. And this is the month of the new moon as well. As if our own problems weren't enough...

What are we going to do about her? ... I hate to say it, but as things are now, there's no way we could face her and come out of that okay.

[cringes.]
I actually met her, but she disappeared and I was unable to find her. All we can do is keep an eye out. My fear is other residents getting involved without realizing the danger, but I also don't want to cause a widespread panic. It could trigger her to act faster.

Yeah. We can't do anything that will provoke her into anything. ... But she's as stuck as we are, so with any luck, she won't be able to mess things up too much. It doesn't change that her intentions won't be good no matter what happens, though.
