Aug 12, 2007 22:20

who : Aaron & Jessalyn
what : Important talking
when : Backdated to Saturday morning

"What's on your mind?"

Jessalyn asked Aaron as she shut the door behind herself, hesitating as she considered locking it, and then deciding against it. Anyone else home would knock if they saw it was closed.

And she doubted they needed to be secretive.

She sat down on the bed and waited for Aaron's response.

He sat himself next to her, placing an arm around her shoulders and hugging her with it. This had been on his mind for a while now, and while they had talked about it, neither of them ever came to a concrete, definite decision regarding the subject. Aaron aimed to change that, right here, right now.

"You ever think that life's too short?"

She turned so she could be as close as she could to him, her cheek coming to rest on his collar bone.

"Mm, sometimes. Yes."

He kissed the top of her head, a small smile on his lips. She was one of the best things that ever happened to him, wasn't she?

"That was my answer. So, let's take advantage of it."

Jessalyn grinned a little, sliding her arms around his waist to hug him tight.

"What were you thinking exactly?"

Aaron grinned back and wrapped his other arm over her shoulders, pushing himself and his weight forward until Jessalyn laid on their bed and he laid on top of her.

"Let's get married. As soon as humanly possible."

Did she just hear him right? Jessalyn blinked up in surprise, unhooking her arms from his waist to move her hands to his face.

"You're out of your mind," she said in Greek, smiling before tugging him down for a kiss.

"Sorry, honey, but what you're saying is all Greek to me," he teased, "and quite literally."

She pouted and tugged his hair gently. "Shush, you." Jessalyn kissed his forehead and lay back into the bed.

"... want to go back to Greece?"

Aaron hesitated, as he didn't want to leave his teammates behind, especially after they were coming off the heels of another destroyed barrier... but she meant so much to him now that he assumed they would understand.

"... Yeah," he nodded. "But only for a couple days."

"I know, just a few. Long enough for a quick honeymoon." As if they weren't already living in one that was occasionally interupted by fights and their friends dying. Jessalyn unhooked her fingers from Aaron's hair.

"I like the sound of this plan." He kissed her lightly, smiling as he broke away. "Aaron and Jessalyn Daniolos. You know, it's got a really nice ring to it." He winked and prodded her stomach with a finger. "Let's do it."

Jessalyn Daniolos. Oh, her parents would have plenty to say about this. Jessalyn pushed him up so she could sit up, already going over in her head what to pack."Right now."

"Right now," he agreed, mentally preparing an announcement to the other inhabitants of the house of their sudden departure. "I'm ready whenever you are."

"Let me pack, and um." Jessalyn brushed her hair back over her shoulders and slid off the bed to find her suitcase. "... yeah, think that's it."

She was getting married~ She was getting married~
